A Bridge to the wonderful and remote Patagonia

With a unique and unrepeatable landscape, Patagonia is undoubtedly the world epicenter of natural beauty, where mountain glaciers, mountains, rivers and lakes, waterfalls, native forests, glaciers, fjords, archipelagos, islands, islets, ice fields and steppes Magallanicas make up a brutal nature that is often overwhelming.

Remota is a world class refuge in the vast Patagonia, where visitors are received and welcomed as guests to its great house, attended with dedication, delicacy, and concern for their interests.

This striking lodge building, has been designed with the purpose that our guests live and feel the Patagonia, also from inside of the building as it is 60% glass. The architect Germán del Sol – National Prize of Architecture – created this unique design so that it doesn’t compete with its surrounding, where nature is always so spectacular. The design is of a warm, ecologic refuge connected with the exterior, with inspiration drawn from the historical Patagonian sheep shearing sheds slanted by the wind.

The 72 luxury guest rooms are done out in slate, wood & glass and the barn sized common area has perfect views of Ultima Esperanza Bay, Balmaceda glacier and the Paine mountain range.

The excursions of Remota Patagonia Lodge are so variant and surprising like Patagonia itself. A region that is a truly world biosphere reserve of natural and cultural beauty inside the National Park Torres del Paine as well as out there, in-between mountains and glaciers, lagoons, rivers and forests, towards livestock farms located on immense prairies where ancestral indigenous cultures used to live.

The menu of excursions includes: boat rides, trails, horseback rides, mountain biking, fly-fishing with worldwide known specialists. The zones to explore are the Torres del Paine – 8th wonder of the world-, the fjords in the Last Hope Sound, the Dorotea Mountain Chain, the Prat Mountain Chain, lakes and lagoons, the Rotundo zone, the Milodon´s Cave, glaciers Serrano, Balmaceda and Grey, the Baguales Mountain Chain, and others.

The hotel’s chef  has designed a menu that contemplates the best local sea foods, exotic meats from the zone, organic vegetables hand picked in nearby ecologic gardens, (with options for guests with special requirements) all accompanied by the best Chilean wines and a great variety of pastries and baked goods made in their own bakery.
