Maratea, Camogli, Polignano A Mare, Tropea, Numana and surprisingly many more beaches located just off the coastline with small swimming coves and a picturesque seascape. Known as Lago di Como – is famed for being a retreat for the famous and wealthy ever since the Roman times; with luxurious villas spread across the lake, it makes the perfect scenic getaway. Some gorgeous villas that you can visit are Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello & Villa Pliniana which are extremely beautiful, with botanical gardens, exhibitions and events open throughout the year – Lake Como is 40 km north of Milan and has relatively quite mild throughout the year.
